5 questions you should ask to choose the correct Chromebook

Chromebooks are fast, fun, and easy to use. Whereas at the end Chromebook is another computer that is fitting in the consumer’s lap. There are tons of different Chromebooks available in the market today with low-end to highest configuration.

A Chromebook for all

Choosing the best Chromebook is tricky because everyone has their own needs to cater to the computing requirements. So far the Chromebooks I have used I personally liked the PixelBook Go and the reason is its simplicity, no hazy color, ultimate tactile keyboard, Intel processor, and Google’s own makes it outstanding.

Well PixelBook Go is the best or not is a separate debate. You have tons of options on Amazon, BestBuy, and many others to choose the best Chromebook for your needs.

Whereas before buying a Chromebook you should ask these 5 questions:

  1. Is Chromebook even the right fit for you?
Yes, before taking in a Chromebook you should ask this first question whether a Chromebook is a correct choice for you or not? Because getting into gimmick thing is separate but do you actually need a Chromebook or not. So to figure it out it’s best to use Chrome Browser on your Mac or PC for time being. Try to find all the web apps you need and stay within the Chrome browser only. If there are apps outside Chrome or the web then try to find out its android version. Then you can make sure that Chromebook is required for you or not.

  2. What kind of form factor is correct for you?
So once you figured out that you gonna stay in the Web apps world of Chrome then you need to figure out in what form you need it. Whether you need it as a tablet, laptop, detachable, convertible with a stylus pen, or like a desk. Because if you gonna stay at one place only then getting a ChromeBox is a good choice like a desktop computer. Although if you are on the move getting a Chromebook laptop/convertible is a smart choice as those are handy and quite good with the performance. Detachable are good if you take a lot of notes of different things.

  3. Do I need the premium quality Chromebook?
Chromebooks are in a wide variety so it is you who need to decide as per your requirements and budget whether you need a premium quality Chromebook. Because on person-to-person it varies of what quality is required or needed. You’re the one who just needs a laptop as a tool to work or you’re the one who cares about the build quality a lot. So decide your Chromebook based on those factors too. Because for some users Chromebook looks also matter, the color of the device, keyboard tactlessness, processor, and everything you can think of. Be open about it decide the best for you within your budget range. As good engineered product will gonna cost a little heavy on the pocket.

  4. What to expect in the clamshell?
Once you open your Chromebook or any laptop what do you expect to see? I am the one who cares about quality build all the time with that I need simplicity. So I expect my laptop to have only a Screen, Keyboard, and Glass trackpad in front of me. With that, it just becomes minimal and simple for me to use the computer. As while I am logged in I am spending a lot of time staring at the screen only, whether I am reading, watching a movie, writing, or working on any other stuff. So chassis of the Chromebook should be at the proportion that makes the work easy and smooth.

  5. What is the best hardware for my Chromebook?
Well getting the correct hardware for any laptop is essential. You’re the one who gonna use your Chromebook and if you’re the one who is always on 50+ tabs, doing photo editing, content creation, and media stuff then you need some extra RAM juice and the best processor in the market. Whereas if you’re buying a Chromebook for someone who uses it only to check email and read a few kinds of stuff then getting a decent processor with 1 or 2 GB RAM is good enough. Well, it all depends on the usage of the Chromebook you want to put in.
Based on these questions decide the best Chromebooks for yourself.  These are just recommendations to help you decide on a good, better or the best Chromebook for you.
