This year was actually for Chrome OS and with its boom in education and business, Chrome OS is arguably the future. The time has arrived when app developers are creating apps for all three desktop platforms Windows, Mac, and Chrome OS.
Although Chrome OS has its initial thing so far. There are still many things about Chrome OS that people not aware of and today I am gonna pen them down.
- Chrome OS is officially from Google:
Chrome OS is officially and fully owned by Alphabet Google. Google is the complete source of officiating and rolling out all the updates of Chrome OS and its capabilities. - Chrome OS is fast:
Chrome OS is one of the most fast Operating systems in the world. It’s considered even super-fast due to its lightweight nature and quickness in-app response. - All applications are Web-based but you can still run Android apps:
All the applications that run on Chrome OS or from Chrome Web-store run as web-based applications. Being a Google property Google allows Android apps to run on Chrome OS so you can maximize the output and can get your work done as much as you can. - Your data is stored online including your apps:
All the apps and data on Chrome OS run online. There are very few capabilities of the OS that run offline. Basically, all the apps like Gmail, google docs and google drive, and other kinds of apps save data online and run apps straight from there only. The same applies to Microsoft 365 and other services. - Your browser is the “OS”:
Yes, everything is a browser. Basically, the Chrome browser is given in the hand with few additional capabilities of an Operating System so a maximum of normal computing needs is taken care of. That’s why Browser becomes an OS and your OS is actually a web browser. - Chrome updates itself automatically:
Chrome OS automatically pushes all the updates so whenever you log in you get the latest of the application. That’s why you’re updated all the time with all the app and OS feature updates with the Chrome OS. - Chrome OS features also show up in the Chrome Browser:
Whatever Chrome OS updates come that also get added to the Chrome Browser. So even though if you later switch to another device you have the same experience with the browser and the Chrome OS. - Chrome OS does not require super high configuration to run:
Chrome OS is lightweight and doesn’t require any high configuration to run. So any manufacturer with the least end processor can deploy Chrome OS and sell them as a Chromebook or a Chrome-box. - Chrome OS is free to use:
Chrome OS community is free and open source. You’re free and allowed to give or push your own updates to the project. - Chrome OS comes with the Hardware:
Chrome OS is best with its hardware, there are ways that you can install Chrome OS on any PC also but that gives some compatibility and other software issues. But Chrome OS is best with its hardware official from Google, Acer, ASUS, and other manufacturers.
